Treasure Hunt (Self-Guided)

Please ignore the date and time under Key Information – this is a self-guided trail you can do at a time that suits you

Enjoy a fun day out with your family exploring the beautiful city of Bath. This self-guided Treasure Trail takes you on a circular walk around the city centre while solving clues along the way.

A mysterious map to a hidden Roman treasure has recently been discovered during an archaeological dig in Bath. Now it’s up to you to follow the clues, solve the riddles and uncover where the treasure is hidden — before the nefarious BATH (Brutally Awful Treasure Hunters) get there first!

The trail begins in Abbey Churchyard in Bath city centre and follows a circular route, so you’ll finish near where you started.

Suitable for families with children aged 6 and up.

What to expect

  • We will send the Treasure Trail to you in the post and you can then do this with your family at a time that suits you. Text message help is available if you get stuck on a clue.
  • The route is approx. 1.5 miles and will take around two hours to complete. It’s wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transport for this activity.
