Safeguarding Policy

Bath and North East Somerset Carers’ Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. We believe that everyone has the right to live free from abuse, neglect and harm, and that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

This policy outlines how we prevent, identify and respond to safeguarding concerns. It sets out the roles and responsibilities of our staff, volunteers and trustees, the procedures we follow when concerns are raised, and the standards of behaviour expected across our organisation.

Our approach is built on prevention, protection, partnership, empowerment and accountability. We work closely with statutory and regulatory bodies to ensure that any concerns are handled promptly, appropriately and in line with current legislation.
