Support your health and wellbeing today
It can be difficult to prioritise your own health and wellbeing when you're looking after someone. The Carers' Centre offer a range of free activities in person, online and over the phone to ensure lots of opportunities for you to get involved.
Please note that these activities are only available to carers living within Bath and North East Somerset.
How to request a place
Create your online account
That's right, as a member of The Carers' Centre you can now create a new online account! Add your email*, a password and look out for a confirmation email.
*Use the email address you gave when you first joined The Carers’ Centre.
Register your interest
Click on an activity and confirm the date(s) you would like to attend, adding any further details as needed.
You're all set!
You will notice your request status has now changed to pending on your chosen activities. We will get back to you within a few weeks to confirm the activities we can offer you.

Please note, we offer a full year-round activity programme. We launch our new activities every three months. Activities will only show if they have not yet taken place; past activities will not be displayed.

Twerton Café
Meet others in Bath that understand the challenges of looking after someone. Build friendships, share your experiences, and enjoy a relaxing cuppa!

Beginner's Crochet Course
Learn the basics of crochet step by step, from the terminology to simple stitches and techniques, before moving on to creating your first projects.

Book Club
Join a welcoming, supportive group with other book enthusiasts! Members take it in turns to choose something for the rest of the group to read and discuss.

Craft Group
Join a welcoming, supportive group with other crafters! Bring along your latest craft project and enjoy a chat with others. No tuition given but there will be plenty of good company!

Bath Wellbeing Walks
Take in some fresh air and lovely scenery as you explore the beautiful city of Bath.

Reiki Training Level 1
Discover the healing power of Reiki. Learn energy techniques and practices you can use to benefit your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of those close to you.

Rest and Restore Mini Retreat
Restore calm, connection and balance with a gentle countryside walk, followed by refreshments and some time to talk with others.

Christmas at Tyntesfield (Plus One)
Step into festive magic this Christmas! Enjoy sparkling decorations, seasonal treats, and the historic house and gardens brought to life with holiday cheer.

Midsomer Norton Café (Plus One)
Come together with others that understand. This is a welcoming and supportive space where you can bring along your loved one too!

Chocolate Quarter Café (Keynsham)
Join other people that also look after a loved one for a relaxing cuppa. You’ll receive a warm welcome from our café host and meet a friendly and supportive bunch!

KS2 Support Group
A peer-led support group for those who care for someone with a mental health difficulty.

Dementia Support Group (Carers only)
A dedicated space for people who look after someone with dementia. Come together with your community at The Carers' Centre.

Dementia Support Group (Plus One - Friday AM)
A space for those who look after someone with dementia to come together and chat. As well as a space for your loved one to enjoy with an experienced facilitator.

AWP Mental Health Support Group
Enjoy a relaxed and dedicated space for those looking after someone with a mental health difficulty. Run in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

Parent Carer Café (Midsomer Norton)
Come along and meet other parent carers, share experiences, and enjoy a cuppa!

Boccia
Come and enjoy a fun, friendly and spirited game of Boccia! Similar to bowls it requires skill rather than speed or strength so is suitable for all.

Refreshing Day
Enjoy a relaxing day just for you with a choice of gentle activities and creative workshops. Refreshments and lunch provided.

Gardening Sessions
Connect with the earth and get back to nature while helping us in our beautiful garden. Led by experienced
gardener John Tucker.

Carers' Voice Open Meeting October
This meeting will be joined by HCRG Care Group Frailty Nurse, Nic, who is keen to shape a new service at its early stages with carer expertise. Please join us!

An error message appeared when I typed in my email address. Why is this?
I have set up my online account, but I still can’t log on. What do I do?
You should receive a confirmation email shortly after setting up your account. Ensure you click the link in this email to verify your account. Make sure to look in your junk folder too!
Each online account needs to have a unique email address. Please get in touch on 0800 0388 885 and we can talk through your options.
I’ve had an error trying to register my interest for an activity, what do I do?
Call us on 0800 0388 885 or email us, and we will ensure you have requested a place for all the activities you would like to attend.
How do I know my request has been made?
When you are logged in, you will see a 'pending' notice on each activity you’ve registered your interest in.
Once we receive your request, we will get back to you within a few weeks to confirm the activities we can offer you.
