Poppy Project

Join us to learn how to crochet poppies, or bring your existing skills, as we come together to create a Remembrance Sunday display for The Carers’ Centre. 

The plan is to create lots of poppies in different colours, patterns and sizes, which will be brought together to decorate The Carers’ Centre. The first two sessions will focus on making the poppies, before creating the finished display during the final session. 

If you’d like to contribute to the display but can’t make the sessions, we have some poppy patterns so you can make some at home, just get in touch with us to request these.

What to expect

Our free activities are here to help you take some time for yourself and to meet others that understand the joys and challenges of looking after a loved one.

There are lots of reasons to join this fantastic activity:

  • All the materials you’ll need will be provided. 

  • The session will be led by one of our lovely volunteers who will show you what to do. 

  • Meet new people and enjoy the company of others while you craft 

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to provide transport for this activity.
