CEO attends Windsor Castle Event Celebrating UK Carers

Jacqui Orchard, Chief Executive of The Carers' Centre, was privileged to attend a special event at Windsor Castle hosted by Their Majesties The King and Queen to celebrate and give thanks to carers across the United Kingdom.
King Charles paid tribute to “those remarkable individuals who dedicate their lives to the care of others.” He also highlighted that throughout the UK there are five million people providing unpaid care who do it not “for recognition nor reward, but because their hearts compel them to.”

The event brought together both carers, and representatives from charities dedicated to supporting carers.
Jacqui Orchard said: “As The Carers Centre celebrates its 30th anniversary, it was a real pleasure to attend a reception at Windsor Castle to recognise the contribution of carers. It was a powerful reminder of the vital role unpaid carers have in our communities every single day. To see their dedication acknowledged in such a special setting felt both meaningful and timely. I am incredibly proud to be part of an organisation that has been supporting carers for three decades, and to continue championing their voices and experiences.”
