We are partnering with some amazing organisations to give as many opportunities as possible to young carers.

Drama Mentoring programme (16 – 25 years)

Wiltshire based theatre company, Folio, is offering free mentoring programmes to young carers interested in pursuing a career in theatre (be that as an actor, designer, technician, writer etc). Young carers can receive mentoring from an industry professional and be supported in taking their next steps into the industry. Each participant will also receive a bursary to support their professional development. Spaces are limited. For more information email us.  

Theatre Royal Youth Council

Bath Theatre Royal have developed a youth council, meeting every other month to support programme development for the theatre. The team are keen to have young carer representation in this group, and we’ve been assured there are brilliant theatre-themed benefits to enhance the experience! Email us to find out more. 

Young Carers Development Trust

For young carers in year 10, YCDT accept referrals from The Carers’ Centre to provide 1- or 4-year mentoring to support educational achievement for young carers who need guidance and support to thrive and excel in their educational pathway. Email us to find out more.  

Bath City Football Club Foundation

BCFC are keen for young carers aged 13+ to join their ball assistant squad, to support players for mid-week and weekend matches. Free access to matches and a great opportunity to support sport development for football enthusiasts. Email us to find out more.

Sibs: for brothers and sisters of disabled children and adults

Sibs exists to support people who grow up with or have grown up with a disabled brother or sister. They provide information, support and workshops for young siblings, adult siblings, parents and professionals.
