Young Carers Council

The YCC meets monthly to influence change for young carers locally and nationally, from school support to council decisions and even shaping our own service at The Carers’ Centre. This group makes big changes, for the better.

There is always food, games, and great discussion - find out more about Young Carers Council.

For ages 8 and above. 

What to expect

Our free activities are here to help young people take some time for themselves, meet others in a similar situation and most importantly, have fun!

  • Improve skills like public speaking, negotiation and persuasion – vital skills which help within education and employment, look great on your CV and future applications 
  • Work together with like-minded young carers to discuss and make plans to create real change for all 
  • Sessions are always fun and relaxed, with games and food included.

The Carers’ Centre adheres to a Fair Use Policy to ensure as many people as possible can access free activities. This means you may not be able to go to every activity that you request.
