Summer is here which presents the perfect opportunity for you to get outdoors and take some time out!

Nature and the outdoors is a free and abundant resource for all. It offers peace and relaxation and a chance to take some time out.

There are many fantastic local services as well as The Carers’ Centre in Bath and North East Somerset that can support you and your wellbeing. We’ve pulled together a list of free outdoors activities and events from local organisations that you can go along to and enjoy...

Wellbeing Courses

Wellbeing Courses support the health and wellbeing of residents across Bath and North East Somerset. A selection of their activities are dedicated to ‘outdoors with nature’ and include various walks around our local area.

The Active Way

The Active Way offers free outdoor activities in the Somer Valley area for everyone. From led walking groups, cycling sessions, one-to-one support and snap and stroll sessions - you'll find something that suits you.

Your Park

Your Park want to make parks better places to meet, play, learn, grow, breathe and enjoy nature together. Roots to Wellbeing offer weekly health and wellbeing sessions in Bath to support those who are struggling with low mood and/or loneliness. These sessions aim to help people connect with nature and socialise with others.

Nature walks and volunteering opportunities also available.

Grow for Life

This is a small Bath-based mental health charity that offers free weekly social and therapeutic gardening sessions.

The Urban Garden

A Community Interest Company offering training, workshops, work placements and volunteering opportunities.

Bathscape

You can find inspiration of new places to explore in Bath, learn more about the local area and even volunteer to help care for the Bathscape area.

You can also join their free walking events. 

Day Out With The Kids

They have rounded up the best parks and playgrounds in Bath, Somerset and Bristol!

The National Garden Scheme

Enjoy a garden visit this summer with public and private garden events, pop-up openings and virtual trips.

Keep an eye out for free Heritage Open Days during September!

Bath City Farm

This is a great option for a family day out! The farm is free to visit, with lots of animals to see, wonderful views and there is lovely café serving breakfast, lunch and cakes.

EcoWild

EcoWild offer free wellbeing courses for adults based outdoors in woodlands and on local community farms.
