Connect with other young carers
You are the expert in what it’s like to be a young carer. The Young Carers Council empowers you to speak out about what’s important for you and other young carers. You can also develop new skills and improve your self-confidence. There are lots of opportunities for you to have a real influence on things that matter to you. The Young Carers Council has been involved with
- Planning and attending our annual schools workshop
- Working with Bath and North East Somerset Council to create their Young Carer Strategy
- Attending national young carer meeting and events
- Helping The Carers' Centre decide how to run it's services
- Creating videos to raise awareness of young carers
Members have also had the opportunity to get experience that builds confidence and can be included on CV's.
Who can join the Young Carers Council?
