Carer Money Matters: Empowering you to thrive

Carer Money Matters

During the autumn and winter months, carers can experience significant financial pressures. These can hinder the ability to provide essential care and maintain a comfortable living environment for loved ones.

For many people, these additional challenges have been made worse by the rising cost of living, which puts additional strain on household budgets, particularly during the busy Christmas period when expenses often surge.

Carer Money Matters is a project run in collaboration with Carers Trust and Wales & West Utilities, and aims to support unpaid carers in Bath and North East Somerset through a comprehensive program of advice, grants, training, and support.

Carer Money Matters supports you across these main areas:

Bill and debt management

We provide guidance on techniques to reduce bills and manage debts, so that you have the knowledge and support needed to stay financially stable.

Benefits and grants

We can help you access benefits and grants, in order to maximise your income and improve your financial security

Financial control

Through training and resources, we can help you feel more in control of your finances, and have greater peace of mind and stability.

Home safety

We can you make sure your home is warm and safe from carbon monoxide.

We want to empower you with the tools you need to manage your finances effectively and make sure that your home is safe and warm
