Tour and Craft

Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Assembly Rooms which is being transformed by the National Trust into a new Georgian experience. This will be followed by a collage session using Georgian-inspired images.

What to expect

Our free activities are here to help you take some time for yourself and to meet others that understand the joys and challenges of looking after a loved one.

There are lots of reasons to join this fantastic activity:

  • The Assembly Rooms have recently been taken back into the hands of the National Trust who plan to redevelop the space as an attraction focusing on its strong links to Georgian times, opening in 2026.
  • The visit will start with a tour around the Assembly Rooms led by members of the National Trust team, followed by refreshments.
  • After this there’ll be a collage activity led by a local artist.

What our community say

"Very enjoyable, good to have a couple of hours to just enjoy the time and not worry about anything else that needs doing."
