Intro to Lino Printing

Over two days learn the art of carving and printing. Discover new techniques, create unique designs, and take home your own handmade prints.

On day one you’ll come up with a design and carve this into lino, then on day two you’ll use inks to print your design on paper.

Suitable for all levels!

What to expect

Our free activities are here to help you take some time for yourself and to meet others that understand the joys and challenges of looking after a loved one.

Things to note:

  • It would be helpful to come with an idea of what you want your design to be, but not vital as the tutor will bring some ideas/prompts. If you have a specific idea in mind you might want to bring some images with you that you can use to refer to.
  • Although the inks you'll be using to print your designs in the second session are water-based and should wash out, please bring an apron with you or wear old clothes to be on the safe side. Please also bring some cardboard, plastic wallets or something similar so you can safely transport your prints home.
  • If you need help with transport to attend this activity, please inform us when booking. Whilst we will do our best to arrange this, please note that we cannot make any guarantees.

What our community say

"Enjoyed the social aspect of this. Also gained a lot of 'how to' knowledge and able to ask lots of questions. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly."
