Crafting Your Story

Using techniques such as weaving, bookmaking and collage, you'll explore your heritage and connections through conversation, crafting, reflecting on the traditions, stories, and memories passed down through families and communities. What aspects of your personal or local history feel most significant to you? What would you like to see preserved for future generations? How do you foster meaningful connections with those around you? Guided by a local artist and the National Trust, you’ll create a personal collection of objects that capture your story.

This course is part of the National Trust’s outreach programme taking the ethos of Bath Assembly Rooms on the road whilst the building is closed for renovations. Bath Assembly Rooms were built by and for the community as a place for social gathering and making connections and they're exploring what social connection looks like for people today and how people can feel ownership of their heritage.
