Carer Information and Support Programme (CRiSP) Online
We’ve partnered with the Alzheimer’s Society to offer their Carer Information and Support Programme (CrISP).
This course provides support and up-to-date, relevant information in a group environment, where you can learn more about dementia, discover practical strategies to help support the person you’re caring for, find out about options for planning for the future and the importance of taking care of yourself.
The programme is run in a series of sessions with the same small group of people, offering you the opportunity to share experiences in a confidential and friendly environment with others in a similar situation.
What to expect
Our free activities are here to help you take some time for yourself and to meet others that understand the joys and challenges of looking after a loved one.
- Increased knowledge of dementia.
- Practical information you can use in coping with living with dementia day-to-day.
- Feel better informed and less isolated.
- Learn about the support services you can access and financial benefits and entitlements you may be entitled to.
- Feel able to plan with and for the person you care for, now and in the future.
We know circumstances can change at the last minute, especially when caring for someone, but we ask that you only sign up if you are currently able to attend all of the sessions
