Bath Abbey Memorials: Unknown Names

Bath Abbey is full of unusual memorials commemorating life stories which have never been fully told.

Over refreshments you’ll hear some of these stories, including:

  • The famous singer Anna Selina Storace who was Mozart’s friend and inspiration.
  • Donnett Mary Paynter, a heroine of the Nursing Yeomanry in the First World War.
  • Fletcher and Ann Partis, who founded homes in Bath for women in distress in the 1820s.

A tour of these memorials around the Abbey will follow.
