Laura has an extensive background in support roles including substance misuse, domestic abuse and mental health support. After qualifying as a mental health nurse in 2002 she became a Project Lead for a support group aimed at unpaid carers, who's loved ones were in hospital.

Her experience and understanding nature has made her a fantastic addition to the team. She has a range of conversations each day with those looking after someone through our Freephone Support Line. Sometimes it's quick questions, and sometimes it's longer support planning sessions, where she works closely with the person to map out a support plan that works for them.

She loves to work with the people that contact us and seeing how she can help improve their health and wellbeing.

Out of work, Laura loves spending time with her family and friends, and exploring on countryside walks.
