The Carers' Centre mourns Queen Elizabeth II's passing

The Carers’ Centre is saddened by news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her 70 year reign provided a constant against an ever-changing world.

She was a champion of the United Kingdom, and the Commonwealth. Her work to support a wide range of good causes, including unpaid carers, has had a significant impact on the lives of many.

In particular, we remember back to the celebrations we have enjoyed during her reign, especially the Platinum Jubilee earlier this year. Such celebrations enabled us to come together and enjoy a sense of community that is not always easy to find. This was especially so for unpaid carers across Bath & North East Somerset, where our Platinum Jubilee celebration was enjoyed by both young and old alike.

She will be truly missed by those she knew and those whose lives she touched. We send our deepest condolences to His Majesty King Charles III and the wider royal family.

If you, or a carer you know, has been affected by the news of Her Majesty’s death and would like to talk to someone, we are here. Our Support Line is available on 0800 0388 885 (9am-1pm, Monday to Friday). You can also email us or leave a voice message over the weekend and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
