Capella Nova's Concert for Carers

We're getting into the swing of summer with a charity concert on Saturday, July 1st from 7:30pm.

The concert, at St Swithin’s Church in Bath, has been generously organised by choir Capella Nova, a chamber choir of around 30 experienced singers. Founded in 2001, the choir sings a wide-ranging and eclectic mix of sacred and secular music under conductor and musical director Tony Shield.

Simon Baker of Capella Nova said: “In our 16-year history Cappella Nova has put on many charity concerts, raising over £10,000 in that time. We are always keen to support charities with a local connection, and so we were delighted to be approached by Bath and North East Somerset Carers’ Centre.

“In planning for the concert we have learned about the support the Carers’ Centre gives to carers locally, and we look forward to supporting this important work. Cappella Nova hope you enjoy our musical offering on 1st July, in what should be a wonderful evening celebrating summer in song.”

Tickets are £10 for the public available from Bath Box Office or £6 for carers, purchased direct from the Carers’ Centre via 01761 431 388 or All proceeds will help the Centre continue their vital work in the community.
